You ought to send them a note, addressed to Doug, and tell them you're a fan of theirs and a fan of ours and that you were wondering if they were sponsoring us again this year. ;) I'm hoping to get a smoker built for them, but I haven't talked to Doug (the brewmaster there) in a while to see if it's still on. We're part of the same whiskey club, we just haven't met up in a few months.

    I think that 1/2 C would work.

I think both of those answers are correct .

1/2 cup is probably plenty. I'm thinking I use somewhere between 6-8 tablespoons, which would be about the same.

It's some good stuff! Can't wait to see the results of your cook. Normally there'd be some pressure having to cook for a family reunion, but you know how to work a pit and I know how good the rub is, so there's nothing to worry about ;).

I've got a few folks around me as well as myself that have used it on full smoked turkeys, but I've never done just a breast. It's good on turkey if you want to get away from the typical salt/pepper/herbs and add a little extra flavor. Give it a go and let us all know what you think!

Did some homegrown chops with the spicy last night. Was a little concerned that the sugar would burn so I did a little lower grill temp than usual

That's some great BBQ rub :) and I can see what u meant about the heat being a core flavor rather than a spicy embellishment

Can't wait to do some ribs with this stuff holy cow that's gonna be good

Those look good! I'm glad you pick up what I'm putting down about the spicy. It is just kind of part of the flavor. We're pretty proud of it!

If waiting for your meat to be rubbed is wrong, then I don't ever want to be right.
