Oh it's not bad odi. And shouldn't be a huge issue to fix. Lotta shops do huge lifts and have no issues. I did a fairly small block/spacer lift and I have a small noise/vibration. But I also had a shop do it that's not the best. I figured they could handle it.

Also, most mediocre shops just take it to pep boys afterward and do a toe alignment and split ("toe and go"). There are better shops out there that will take it to a proper alignment shop and they'll do it right... For a lifted vehicle.

I wouldn't be hesitant to do it. I'd just take it to the right place to do the work/align it properly. IMO

There are numerous well engineered lift kits, as well as several different concepts in lifting Tacoma's. Also, you'll find a number of shops that are more than capable of doing high quality work. AND, by using a well thought out "kit", you can install a lift yourself and get good results, without years of experience..... Long story short, you won't have drive line issues unless the lift is done WRONG, or parts are mis-applied. There are many trucks on the road that do thousands upon thousands of miles without issues.

Yes I know I lifted my 2012 ram 3" and had no problems with that, but reading over this forum the driveline issues come from the driveshaft angles after lifting the truck, now I know I I can drop the cb but I'm not sure if I want to go through all the headaches haha, the ram was easy since it was a single driveshaft put the lift on myself had it aligned and it was good to go

Until just a few weeks ago, the last Toyota I lifted was 31 years ago. That was a straight axle truck with leaf springs. Recently I bought my 4th Tacoma and decided to raise it up a bit. Not saying I'm now an expert, but they aren't exactly "rocket science" either. After doing mine, I did a neighbors Tacoma and now have another one (which the neighbor referred to me) sitting in the garage, ready to lift it this weekend. Mine and the neighbors turned out GREAT! I have a VERY trustworthy alignment shop a couple blocks from the house. Both trucks I've done drive and ride BETTER than they did BEFORE I started spinning wrenches. All joy! Point is, while it MAY seem a little intimidating tackling the first IFS/Tacoma lift, less than a month in to my "on-the-job training", I feel comfortable tackling them one after another.

It helps when you have a great resource like TacomaWorld at your fingertips when/if there are questions.

True, which lift kit did you go with? I was planning on just throwing some 5100s with oem 884 coils and a add a leaf in the rear, planning on going full dakars eventually

Toytech "boss" on mine, Readylift spacer kit on neighbors, and a Rancho kit for the one in the garage. I'm all for doing different brands of kits. Nice way to see what I like and DON'T like about all the different brands.

At some point, I'd like to get cocky and put together a blend of parts from various manufacturers and assemble my own "kit". Sort of a best of the best.....

I have this habit of once I get involved in a hobby or project, I tend to get WAAAAAAAAAY involved. Nothing like getting to know a subject top to bottom while the "still new to me" enthusiasm is strong!

Thanks man. I'm not good at modding this thing yet. Trying to make it tough yet nice is a fine line to walk.

    Okay some more minor mods:

I noticed some write ups on OEM style bed lights so I completed those yesterday. Here are some pics.
