I was never a full fledged member but went wheelin' there for every charity event as well as other events. I took BattleBorn there, never my Tacoma Baja.

Doe Valley in in Windber, Pa. just outside of Johnstown. It's a great place to camp, fish, wheel and make awesome friends.

Just wandered into this thread, im from the saltsburg/avonmore side of things, seen mention of troy hill...not a bad little place to kill some time. Theres pine hill off of rt 28 and a place called Mcintyre out towards Indiana that i used to go to all the time. Plenty of trails out there...bring straps for sure lol, its often very soupy.

Nope, I'll take the Baja out to moab and play in the desert and rocks. I'm not destroying it in the northeast mud. I'd rather get another truck to make a dedicated trail rig for up here. The Baja is an investment and daily driver/ work tow rig.

Already fucked that up, so figured that is what the next one will be for. This is my first build and I've learned a lot about what I should've done or steps i have had to go back and rework. Mostly little cosmetic shit, wasted time. But now I'll know for when I build my next. I have a 10 year cycle with my toyota trucks. 4 more years and I'll upgrade to a new one.

I learned the hard way not to wheel my main family/ daily driver, atleast not too hard but I can't just do kiddy trails when I go wheelin. The mud causes way more problems than rocks do though because it gets everywhere (never cleaning it all off and always have dirt falling in your face when you work under the truck) causes rust bad, dries out all the seals, bearings and screws with wiring pigtails.

I have the escape now to get me by in between. I'm with you on the mud, I prefer to be in the rocks. That is why doe valley has my interest.

So when are we having the next meetup? Mongolian Grille in the Southside is closed indefinitely so that place is out. Let's here some dates when people are available. And try not to have this happen again... you know who you are. LOL

Looks like their other locations are still open but I think the closest is Columbus Oh.
