Anyone know if 255/85/r16 cutters will fit on a 2019 TRD pro with no modifications and will not rub? I do not offroad I just like the look but do not want to trim anything. Thanks and I am new to this

I do not have them yet but I have been looking to get them, just waiting on Rims (17's, 255/80/R17) and from what I understand either should fit without mods. There may be some slight rubbing but you can usually take care of that easily. Lots of info out there on the following thread:

You'll be fine with that size. It is a common size around here because they avoid the need for cutting and modification. I suggest that you get tires that are SL (Standard Load) rated (lighter weight) and not buy heavier load rates (e.g. E rated tires are quite common at tire shops).

You can search online for the weight comparison SL vs E rated tires. The mass of a tire is spinning mass, so the impact on you truck will be much greater than having the same load in the bed. A few pounds in a wheel / tire make a big difference in performance.

Heavy load rated tires are significantly heavier than the SL rated tires and will bog down your taco impacting acceleration and braking - and also reduce your MPGs.

Additionally, they are stiff and will impact your ride quality - so it is good to highlight the desired load rating to your tire shop to determine what tire you want.

When searching for a tire brand is that size, look for an SL load rated version. Some brands will have them, some may only have an e-rated tire.

Some insight here: (be sure to scroll down for the ply ratings.)
    https://www.tirerack.com/upgrade-garage/what-are-load-ranges-ply-ratings?gclid=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrP9zG0Tkom20oiie4yZLoVFFGNytnN2pY1oC3mCl_KEHTJA8S3N3XRoCWggQAvD_BwE&ef_id=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrP9zG0Tkom20oiie4yZLoVFFGNytnN2pY1oC3mCl_KEHTJA8S3N3XRoCWggQAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!3756!3!354820920374!e!!g!!tire load rating chart&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1

The new Falken AT4Ws in 255/85r16 are C loads. Once they come in stock, that's what I'm going with. They're still heavy though

255/85/16 are all E rated I’m pretty sure. Also, most are MT tires.

A lot more choices in a 17” rim.

    Oh cool!

My 255/80/17 E rated wildpeaks are 52 pounds, not bad at all.

I’ve had this tire for 3 years and I’m just amazed. It works excellent in all conditions (I don’t do “mudding”) Silent on hwy and tread still looks like it’s got 90% left.

Im definitely getting same tire when these wear out.

I think the Cooper Discoverer STMaxx are one of the lightest by a small margin....Discount says 53 lbs.

I have the Geolandar G003s and love them...they come in at 55lbs. They dont feel too bad IMO. I think they look arguably the best, and perform very well on road (not in slick-road-snow though). Phenomenal offroad as you could imagine.

For context - I believe that the Maxxis Razors in 275 70 16 (Stock size) are 38 lbs... So 'Light' is relative...

a 15lb difference from this tire change at each corner is a significant load.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Got them installed about a month ago. Local Discount Tire shows them available in 1-5 days currently.

    I run that size
In several different mt skinnies- no rub
Before (pro) suspension and after a new suspension- no rub or issues
    2019 trd pro
Get a good alignment and make sure you are getting the caster you want

Previous tires were general Grabber ATx in 265/75/16. Really liking them. Quiet, good road manners wet or dry, balanced well. When offroad the other weekend, they were up to the task:
    IMG_1486.jpg IMG_1511.jpg

Didn't find any deep, deep mud, but what we found was easily handled. Now, to find some sandy trails...
