    Stock for now.. maybe
Like the post above said. Expe t at least a crack in windshield. Maybe have a plan for a busted driver side or back window (plastic, duct tape...). Good idea to wear safety glasses when you get on dalton, in case of flying glass.
    Coming up here to hunt?

I wrote some posts on it in another thread...somewhere...

Also, someone said it starts outside Whitehorse. It really starts outside Dawson

I rode up the Dempster on my motorcycle in 1987. The Dalton wasn’t open to the public then ( and there was no highway to Tuk either) but based on everything I’ve read since then I’d still recommend the Dempster, and continue to Tuk. We flew from Inuvik to Tuk (something like $40-50 round trip then) and since you can drive now, it’s worth going to the end of the road. Even on a bike, and tent camping the whole time, I never felt at risk from any animals except mosquitos and truck drivers. Had zero issues with my bike but flat tires, cracked windshields and headlights seemed very common on cars and trucks/RV’s, both locals and tourists.
