Will the wheels fit the 4Runner if you go that route? A lot of people buy and sell the stock Tacoma/4Runner wheels on forums. People sell them because they don't want them, and then people like me buy them because a whole set with 500 miles on it is cheaper than a new set of just tires :D

If you parted out the stock stuff already (Sounds like you did at least in part), I bet posting a WTB/S/T offering up your parts plus the stock from the buyer and cash would fix a couple of problems at once..

same thing with selling the parts ... so it’s a flip of a coin . I think someone would have more interest with mods than without being that they won’t have to do stuff to the truck .

As a private buyer. If I went to see an advertised truck and it turns out to be modded...... My first question is "Who did the modifications?" then a series of follow up questions. If any answer is hesitant or unclear, then its keep my cash and walk on.

It is too easy to inherit bodged up add-ons, then have to deal with the headaches of repair.

I appreciate everyone’s response here. All you guys have great ideas. Like the idea of trade my parts plus cash for stock items.

First thing I’ll do is bring the truck back to stock. Sell parts and then I’ll sell the truck.

I thought about keeping the ray 10s since they are so hard to get but we’ll see how that goes.

keep an eye for part out sale shortly. Lots of goodies.

located in the Los Angeles area :D

Best option is to trade mine for yours. I'll take the modded truck and you can sell a stock tacoma. Win.....win.....or maybe win, win less. Haha.

    Sweet ride man!

Could always do both, IE in the listing say X for this part or Y and your stockers for it. Good to have options

In truth, most mods are very personal. Very few mods will actually enhance or upgrade the vehicle.

Yes, a mod can improve a specific aspect of performance, ie rock crawling, but degrades performance in other areas.

As an example. My truck fills many aspects of life. It needs to haul landscape materials, home DIY materials, grocery getter, ice cream impulse, snow, ice, snow pack, 100F temps, haul storm debris, .......... If I mod it to handle snow with the maximum performance, it will probably be crap on other needed tasks.

My point is. You may believe the mods you have done are the pinnacle of Tacoma builds. The buyer may not agree or need your mods.

This, plus how was it used in view of said mods. If I think a modded ride was used on trails etc it could give pause.

If I may...you never get back what you put into them. Modding is expensive and takes time...un modding takes time and you still have to find multiple buyers. It's a given you will loose money selling your old and buying new. Question is...how valuable is your time?

Truck is gorgeous btw... its the age old question...time and money invested returning it to stockish vs resale on used parts. Good luck with sale.
