So I have an '07 double cab and would like to go with a 10" shallow mount dual voice coil sub preferably mounted in the storage area behind the drivers side rear seat. I've never had a shallow mount sub but want to have my rear seat (so can't use my current sub) and like to keep it looking stock and low key to not attract thieves' eyes.

In the past I had my good old 12" Digital Designs 9000 series sub powered by an Autotek Stealth 1500.1 amp. I still have the amp and plan to use it to drive whatever sub I get. I'm getting older so don't need pounding bass, just a tight SQ low end for the 80's music and rock I listen to.

That being said, I've been thinking of a Sundown SD-3 10 or a Digital Design SL-710 with a ~.5 ft3 box in the storage space behind the rear seat. What do you guys think? Is there another sub I should look at as well like a Memphis? I've never heard the DD shallow sub but my DD sub has been awesome. I've heard nothing but good things about the Sundown sub as well.

I know the won't have the grunt of my current sub and that is understandable. My #1 priority is it fits in the space behind the rear seat. I'm just looking at the possibilities right now, haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet.

    Thanks.
