People love that stuff on here, and I've used it several times - mainly on my wheels. It looks great until it gets torn or starts to peel. Then it looks like shit.

The bigger the section of derp, the worse it looks.

Few hundred dollars worth of plasti dip goes straight down the drain in this case, you can't feather in new "paint," you have to peel the entire panel off.

On your shell that has no body gaps, that's a pain in the ass - and it won't look any different than the BMW I posted when it tears and starts separating.

The amount of money I've spent spraying that stuff on my wheels, because I'm too cheap to powdercoat - would've already paid for powdercoating - and here I am with 3 wheels that look good and 1 that's torn and peeling, still. So again, I have to remove it and either run it bare or re-dip the wheel to match the other 3 - or I have to peel them all.

That stuff is great in concept, but it shouldn't be used as a paint - it is definitely not a paint. It's great for people who aren't sure if they want to paint their wheels black, paint their hood black, add stripes, etc,.. then it's easy to remove if you don't like it (unlike paint). Outside of that, it's a minimal adhesion product not designed to be permanent and the internet is forcefully trying to turn it into something it isn't.

I "dipped" it. Pretty pleased with it the results. The shell works well for an upcoming road trip and the black works better than speedway blue. uploadfromtaptalk1452479428643.jpg
