These ones are $225 a pair which I think is ridiculous. Luckily I won these is a raffle. Great looking but not at that price.

So mine have been holding up great since originally applying them and on multiple occasions I would touch them up whenever I got scratched off-roading. Yesterday, however on a whim, I just decided to take the Plasti Dip fully off just for a different look. Whats cool, is underneath the plastidip my fender flares looked brand new. I think I'm going to run them like this just for something different but I do plan to redo them again in the future.

So I did mine and they came out so so. I followed instructions to the T. It looks really grainy in certain sections. Doesn't look smooth texture like the ones here. Mine almost looks like a low grit sandpaper lol... I did like 7 coats per flare. What I do wrong?

Spray painting can be finicky. Sounds like you're working distance wasn't consistent. Keep the can a lil closer for a smoother, wet finish, and further away for a more matte look.

I do moderate wheel'in with my Offroad, I'm looking at the scratches on my black flares from tree branches, ect.... and I'm wondering how plasti dip would hold up and continue to look ok with the abuse of offroad activity's? I'm thinking that process would only work if you stay on the roads. Am I wrong?

I haven’t done anything on the taco, but I’ve used it to black out emblems and wheels on a lot of stuff in the past.

It’s a pain to get off if you don’t use enough coats, but if you do 4+ it should come off like a decal... slow peeling in one piece.

Sounds like you may have done it wrong.

If you want it to peal off correctly you must put heavy coats on it. I have used it before and followed directions precisely. It is still a pain in the ass to get off.

Derp is great. If surfaces are cleaned properly and at least 6-7 thin coats applied, it lasts for a while and comes off easy if needed. Had my bumpers and grill derped on my previous truck and it lasted for years.
