Wash the area(s) to paint with soap and water. If waxed or polished surface, use dawn dish soap or alcohol like others have said. Get a roll of blue painters tape (thicker the better. Tape right up to and along the edge of whatever you’re painting, in this case the fender flares so tape the fender the flare is connected to. Then grab a big roll of brown painting paper. Blue tape the paper to the blue tape you put on the fenders. Be generous with the paper to cover the truck from over spray. I’d even cover your rims with paper too just to be safe. Basically you should only see the part you want to paint showing with about a foot of paper blocking everything around it haha. Spray about 6x coats of plastidip to get the best results. You don’t have to wait too long between coats. Spray each flare and by the time you get done with the 4th one the 1st one should be good for another coat.

I got some Bushwhacker fender flares I'm going to install on my Sport. I bought the plastiDip but have not done the duty.

I want the chrome bolts to match the fenders...that's why I want to PlastiDip spray them.

Sport fenders are painted to match the color of my truck.
