    Hey everyone, just curious how you guys went about masking off the emblems to plasti dip them. I'm not quite sure how to go about doing this without having to individually cut off pieces of tape to fill in the gaps. Any help would be appreciated.

    Take the emblem out of the grill first. I just pops out from the back side by squeezing some plastic tabs together.

    I just derped the whole grill. Removed it first of course.

    If you decide to dip he emblems just tape two - three inches outside of the emblems and let it dry completely before you peel it off. If done correctly the dip will stick to the emblems and separate at the seams between them and the body panel

    My bad, thought you were referring to the emblem in the center of the grill for some reason. Still waking up.

    Also if you're looking to do clean sharp lines make sure you paint everywhere but the edge of the tape line first, it's important for the plastidip to still be wet when you peel the tape off for a clean line

    my old Touareg was dipped from the rocker panels down, the mirrors, wheels, grill and rear emblems

    @Usethe2nd

    Did you remove the chrome around the grill before you derped it? If not, how would you go about it?

    Some stuff...
    Tape around them, then spray - don't worry about taping the inside. The derp will peel off of your truck finish. Use a toothpick to get at the inner areas of the emblems that don't immediately peel. Good luck!
