    Hey all!

I am plasti dipping my rims today and I am wondering if I should takes the wheels off of my truck to spray them or just leave them on and put a bag around the brake?

PS - I only have 1 jack stand

I’ve used plastidip many times (though not on wheels). I would personally take the wheels off and cover any parts you don’t want dipped like the inner barrel. Overspray will get all over the place otherwise.

Take them off and cover the tires the overspray on the rubber is a PITA to get off

Watch YouTube videos of people doing it. The majority of them have the wheels off.

I've used playing cards between the rim/tire before, I've also properly masked them before. Same result. Prep is everything.

Also, jackstand + spare tire = two jackstands.
