Typically plastidip has to be applied in multiple layers, say 4 or 5 so that its thick enough to be removed easily by pulling it off.

However given the design of the TRD grill with its many holes and grooves im a little worried that no matter what i do its never going to peel off easily.

    What do you guys think?

I planned to dip mine. Bought the dip and the spray can adapter to make sure I was able to apply it evenly. Then I thought about how much of a massive pain it would be to remove it from the lattice type grille. In the end I had it done at a Line-X location instead. I don't regret it one bit.

mine has been dipped since march. gets washed all the time always rubbed on from that. Plasti dip is alot more durable then you think. As long as you put enough coats on. I did about 5 coats.
Another trick is after its cured for a day or so. if you coat it with some kind of rubber dressing or tire dressing. it removes the grabby feeling from the rubber and makes it much smoother and less likely to rub off witha towel if you went to hard

I just removed some poorly applied dip (by me) from a set of intricate wheels and a pressure washer and a BIG-ASS-CAN of WD40 let me do all four in about a half hour.

Gave me 2 options - flat black for $75 and $100 for the UV protectant gloss coat. I went with the gloss. I think it looks fantastic.
