Plastic dip or Spray bed liner?

Looking for info on which people preferred for blacking out badges.. Have removed all from tailgate(for flag), looking for the side badges, front badge and chrome around grill. Have seen both used in threads, guessing the plasti dip would be smoother finish?

Be classy. Get the 'black chrome' emblems from the dealer and a color matched grill surround.

 

Plasti-dip has always been my go to for badges and emblems. Worked great on my old VW and survived 4 or 5 New England winters pretty well. I haven't tried it on the truck though.

Bedliner would be a little more textured but would probably hold up better. I guess it depends on what look you're going for.

 

Bed liner is more permanent. And less forgiving if you mess up. I used when i had my jeep jk i plasti dipped the grill then went over top with bed liner this way you can still remove it

 

The plasti dip is not permanent, it will crack after a year or two.

Looks good. I personally prefer the stock chrome surround and wouldn't ever touch it unless it got smashed.
