I'm not even sure what to call this thing... it is threaded on one end to fit the threaded outlet of most plastic water jugs (e.g., Scepter) and convert that into a standard hose thread. There are a number of ways to attach a faucet to the water jugs, but all are either destructive or leaky. This + a simple garden hose valve was the best option I found. I ended up with two; only need one, that the extra is being sold here. $26 shipped.
