Were we expecting hand planed mahogany?

All of that "big money" went into frame rails and a drivetrain that can be used in a somewhat truck like manner. Thems the rules. If you want nice for sub-60 grand, buy a car.

Looks like the plastic under the wiper has been off by the gouge in it and scrapes in the wiper arm. The bumper probably got bumped by the previous owner and the clip didn’t re-latch. These look like common outcomes to me.

Now imagine spending 40k to 65k on more plastic of a 4th gen. My opinion these trucks are no longer worth the price, but that is me and I am in the minority, as they sell very well. I though $32,400 was too much for my 2017, but I still purchased it and has been a overall a great truck.

You are not alone. Pickup trucks in general are entirely overinflated. Its the reason why it suddenly made financial sense for me to garage the one I have, and put the bulk of my driving on a third car instead.

Plastic is a pretty inexpensive material toyota must be trying to save money on plastic and making it thinner ?? The dash and outer wheel well trim seem real good not so much in other spots . Imo .
