Plastidipping Chrome Grill Surround ond

    2007 White Tacoma Prerunner
    So I have a white 2007 Prerunner and Im thinking about plastidipping the grill surrond black. Would it chip off quickly and if anyone has does this I would love to see theirs

    I don’t think you will have to worry about plastidip chipping. Maybe getting small holes from rocks. It should be pretty durable. People often use it on wheels so I would imagine it will be fine on the surround.

    I tried plasti dipping my emblem and idid get alot of little chips from the road. The plastic chrome is a wierd surface to adhere to. You could always find a black or non painted grill on ebay or Amazon pretty reasonably. I hate chrome so i got a color matched grille and painted the emblem with duplicolor black and cleared over it0EBEE194-5FC6-422F-8087-B63CF3EC3EDE.jpg

    All the mods
    I plastidipped my factory 2014 grill and it was on there for several years with only minimal signs of wear. The key is to do more light coats vs fewer heavy coats with plastidip.
