I ran OVER a black bear in my 1st Gen. Dark night and rainy and my brother was in front of me in his lifted Wrangler. He went around a curve in the road and as I was getting to the curve I saw what looked like a black tarp or garbage bag blowing in the road. Right before it went under the truck my other brother in the truck with me said "That's a bear!!" It went completely under the truck. I felt him hit under the front and felt him go under the rear axle.

We pulled off and you could hear him thrashing around in the laurel. We went back the next day and looked around and we couldn't find it.

My brother in the Jeep said when he rounded the curve the bear was running down the middle of the road and it tried to cut in front of him and he hit it with the left two wheels....then when he got to me he was rolling.

Nothing to do with the OP's bumper question....just a cool story. :D
