I'm looking at installing a plate bumper, however I'd like to get some springs to match. Right now the truck as 5100's all around with Wheeler's 5 Pak on the rear. I'm not really looking to lift the truck up higher at all.

So, my question is which spring setup would best suit me or would just adjusting the shocks be the best option?

Set your billies at 0 and get some OME 886s or might be able to get away with 885s

I contacted toyotech the other day on this question. They told me that with the 5100s you shouldnt run the OME 886 springs but the eibac front coil spring will support the additional weight of a plate bumper. Are you planning on adding a winch also?

I'll get a winch eventually, but not in the near future. I contacted them as well and all they had was something that'd raise my truck 3 inches w/ the bumper.

The reason not to use those springs is the valving on the 5100s doesn't mix well with spring rate.

Above mentioned springs are for 2nd GEN anyways your a 1st GEN, if you get 881's and put a plate bumper on it should get you to close to where you are sitting now.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Still conflicted though after searching. Some say the ride is great others say that combo is real stiff.

Thought I'd give a little update...

Ended up with Eibachs. Currently the truck sits 1/2" higher in the front then rear, so ordered an AAL from Wheelers. I'll take some pics and update again when I have the time to install them.

Should be close to level with the AAL. I ran that same setup with 1" lift shackles too and I had just a bit of rake.

You might want to measure your rear shocks again when your do e too. Could me close to maxing them out.

I'm most likely going to upgrade to the 5125s anyways to be on the safe side. However, I don't do any real serious wheeling yet, so it's going to have to wait a little bit.
