Hey guys I started a thread here in Armor to address this >>>>>

OK so as I'm sure lots of you know, ARB USA doesn't offer a rear bumper. As much as I would like to purchase an ARB rear to compliment their tried and true deluxe bar, I cant. So, which of the aftermarket plate bumpers available is the closest match? (color, lines, height, functionality, finish...) I've looked at plenty of pics /stats and so on... anyone with ownership experience? Opinions? Thoughts? Pics? Let's see em!

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-bumper-that-matches-arb-front-bumper.429510/#post-12345118

That said, please continue to post burly accident pics below, Auggie

Wasn't a high speed crash, I was at a stop and the young kid was texting, his tinymobile hit me at about 15 mph damage below. It broke the radiator mount and headlight but he was still able to drive away, looking at the raised hood the whole time.

btw I know this is not plate bumper related just thought you guys would enjoy the carnage.:) so I got rear ended about 2 months ago, and the guy was going about 40 when he hit me (its an approximation because the hit felt pretty hard and the truck got launched forward pretty far) , minor damage to my truck just some paint chipped by the cab, oh and did i forget to mention....he was on his phone. and the rear bed cage was built by Dmz fab ( for those who want to know) and it pulled through for the win.

Well, my armor popped it's first cherry on the way home from work this evening.. I looked into the rear-view mirror just in time to watch a Zombie in Wayfarer sunglasses behind the wheel, ghosting into my rear end in stop and go rush hour traffic at about 20 km/h. The driver of Daddy's Chevrolet Equinox that hit me, destroyed it's bumper cover, headlight surround and hood, radiator sub-frame, and punctured the rad. Well over $5k CDN in damages to his heap, and he went home on the wrong end of a tow-truck. My rear Fab-4's bumper didn't move, but in shortening up his front end, he dinged my tail-gate with his hood o_O

Not cool... apparently my hazard warning stripes on the bumper were ineffective, although, I don't know why?!? Oh wait, because Zombie.

Note the hole to the right of the licence plate - that was my shackle mount point that punched through his bumper cover.

Bottom photo is to just show the hazard stripes - doesn't show any damage. post-hit there isn't really much except a ding in the lower crease, and a mild crease going vertically from there, slightly bending the tail-gate.. enough that it'll need to be replaced. Tail-gate still opens and closes fine. Where his hood wrinkled back at the tip, is where he dinged me.

Shoot I thought I recognized that rear armor , you posted it in my "good match for an ARB" thread... well that sucks! sounds like you are OK and that's what's matters. Your fab-4 bumper certainly seems to have done it's job, instead of having to drop off your truck for bigtime repairs, it's a tailgate swap for you.

Curious guys... Looking at the Fab Four front bumpers for my 2nd gen and found the lighter weight/newer model, the Vengeance. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this one? I don't need the super heavy duty off road, as the most I get into is some fairly well kept dirt for rock hounding and fishing, but I love the look of it. Already have the Fab Four rear going on come Monday, and think the match would be nice if it'd be worth the price.

Good looking bumper but is only 1/8 inch steel plate. Great for weight I guess.

@Thelgord Yeah, I don't really do enough stuff off road to consider a heavier grade bumper at the moment. My '13 is my daily driver so I like to keep it as light as I can and still look badass Plus I figure it's gotta be better than the plastic/aluminum that's on there now, right?

Nothing serious at all, but I bumped a gate that closed itself on me while on the ranch. Was too lazy to get out and open it, bent my license plate and the mount for it....

Note to self, dont be lazy o_O

ARB seems tough! Main reason I got it is there are so many deer on my commute to and from work. Luckily I haven't tagged one yet. But considering I write collision estimates in a very rural area, I see a lot of deer hits and the damage they cause to plastic parts.

I had an 86' SE. Had a 2.8l V6 and a 4 speed manual. That little car was pretty quick. I had a few problems with it but for the most part it was awesome. I used to drive friends home from school in it. Most we got in that thing was 6 people. Two in the drivers seat I worked the pedals and shifted, the other steered (I could see) two in the passenger, one on the console and the other one laying on top of all of them. Jesus high school kids are dumb.

This, I had a piece of concrete (construction debris) flip up and put a little dent in my rocker panel. 780.00 for the body shop to fix and repaint. Haven't done it yet...

My edited-down version of an Amazon decal, added to my ARB bumper wings. I'd much rather prefer to keep the three lower points-categories remaining blank...
