I don't know who's truck it is. but as you probably know it's a TrailGear low profile bumper. Why don't you just buy one directly from TG? Is there a reason to look elsewhere?

or you can be different like me and go with a square tube bumper:

    Just another idea!

I have got to disagree, most crawler trucks I have seen have had tube bumpers on them.

I like them both, but will end up getting a tube because they are cheaper and lighter.

But I will end up tacking some 3/16'' plate to fill in the gaps to give it a hybrid look.

    meh its just my opinion.

Boxrockets and 01Tacomas are really the only ones that i actually like the Tube look on that isn't LT. Tube bumpers just don't click with my like plates do. But to each and to his own.

Lol wow old thread I had forgot that I even started this. Well I have looked around a lot and really like the looks of both style bumpers. If everything still goes as planned I will be getting plate all the way around with sliders.

I didnt extend any of the frame, if anything you will be chopping off about 2" from the stock cross member so it will sit far enough back to the truck...but other than that, its just welded to the stock bumper mounts all around

I know the arb works with airbags... do any of these other bumpers(i'm interested in switching to a tube) work with the airbags?

The ARB has crumple zones built into the bumper to absorb energy in the case of a collision. The airbags are triggered by an accelerometer not by the collision itself. In other words, a dramatic drop in speed (faster than is possible with the brakes) would tigger the airbag, not the actual impact in an accident, although in the real world those two things are typically happening simultaneously.

Bottom line is a tube bumper will not cause the airbags to be ineffective. Plate or tube bumpers will both work just fine with airbags.
