Platinum Warranty

Does anyone know where to purchase the factory extended warranty? I have been told that certain dealers offer then much cheaper than others

 

When it's such a pain in the ass to get the dealer to do anything under warranty for the first two or three years, what good is even more warranty?

 

you sir need to find a new dealer. my local dealership has been nothing but fantastic with my warranty claims.

I just updated my 05 tacoma to a used 16 and the factory 36000 is just about up. The dealer was good about covering a few issues I had under warranty

 

I think they are all a little different. I don't have the time or the energy to drive my truck all over the state looking for a service department that will honor simple warranty work, when needed.

 

A factory warranty can be used at any dealer. Not just where purchased

These were some quotes i got the other day

 

I paid 1000 for a 10 year 120k warranty, but it wasn’t gel Toyota.

 

Deductible?

I would never pay for one. They gave me an 8 year 125K mile platinum warranty because of the issues I was having with my truck, and I still traded it in.

It seems like it would be nice to have, but it turns into golden handcuffs.

They only acknowledge half the problems, the ones they "fix" aren't ever completely fixed, and it's seriously like pulling teeth to deal with them. I, supposedly, had a good dealership too.

 

Don't say this too loud, you'll offend the super duper extended warranty fan boys.

 

Some people just like spending money and can't do math.

 

I mean, if you have a good dealer that is honest and fair and fixes things under warranty like they should, it probably is a good deal.

 

Dealer I go to has never given me any issues with anything warranty related and have always taken care of me.
