    Good afternoon to all,

I have been working for the past few months on a new product for Double Cab Taco's (both 2nd and 3rd gens). I am pleased to announce they are finally ready after multiple design iterations to ensure a perfect fit in multiple different configurations.

What I have created is a platform constructed 100% out of ABS that is custom fit for our backseats to give you a flat surface once the seats are folded down. This serves multiple purposes such as protecting your seats fabric/leather when your pets are riding inside (hair/claws/etc.), or a flat surface for carrying gear that increases the amount of usable space in the backseat (which also protects your seats), and many others.

The platforms come in three configurations, a full length (covers the entire width of the backseat and weighs right at about 20 lbs.) a 60% length (covers the double rear seat when folded, allowing you to still leave the single seat in the upright position if you needed to carry dogs/gear etc. AND carry a 3rd passenger, and weighs right at about 12 lbs.), and a new size; the 40% (covering the rear single seat, enabling you to keep 2 usable seats upright). Like I mentioned earlier, they are constructed 100% out of ABS and install/remove in less than a minute so can easily be taken out if you need to re-deploy your seats in a hurry. Since it is constructed out of ABS, it is also 100% waterproof so can be tossed in the bed of your truck no matter the weather conditions. This is also beneficial if used frequently for pets or dirty gear, as it can be cleaned quickly just by spraying it off with a garden hose.

Each platform will come with specially designed "pop locks" that slide over the seat latches to ensure the platform will not fall forward and fold itself up in hard braking or bumpy conditions.

Please see attached pictures and check out the website I have created as well at www.platz-form.com. I have a couple of each size available right now and more are on the way. I am located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas for local pickup but also can ship to anywhere in the continental U.S. Each platform ships flat rate $12.99!

    Full Length - $425.00
    60% Length - $300.00
    40% Length - $275.00
    Combo (40% + 60%) - $575.00

Shipping - $12.99 Flat Rate to Continental U.S.

Let me know what you think and if you have any questions! Thanks for looking.

Does the bottom platform sit flat or is it angled downwards(looks downwards in the pictures). Just wondering if put my dog on it will she slide forward every time I brake

The bottom of the platform is level. My dogs ride it in regularly (one of the main reasons I came up with the idea), and as long as their nails are trimmed, they stay put pretty well (unless you are driving like you are in the Fast and Furious). The platform has a light texture to it (think like a spray on bed liner, but not sandpaper like).

Here is an image from the side to give you a better idea of how flat it sits. The full length and half length (shown) both sit the same way.

I like this a lot. Does the bottom plate fasten to anything or just sit on the under seat storage cubbies ?

The bottom portion sits on top of the folded down rear seat. The actual seat that you sit on that folds forward has some curvature to it on the bottom which holds the bottom of the platform in place, preventing it from coming up, if that makes sense. See above attached picture to get a better idea of the "curvature" I am referring to that holds it down.

I was not paying attn. I was thinking this was with seating completely removed now that I would buy in a heartbeat. I have my large seat removed just delaying starting the build for my platform / camera gear storage unit.

does it have to have the seats still there to hold it in place? Like can I remove the seat bottoms(the seats holding it in place) so I can store stuff in front of the platform on the floor

Yeah this is for people who want the platform but do not want to have to remove the seats permanently. Gives you seats or platform and back to whichever one you need in minutes.

I have not tried this as my intent was to design something giving the ability to go from platform for dogs/gear and back to seats for people with very little effort. I know for certain it would still fit (as long as the back portion of the seat were still installed for it to rest on, and the bottom portion of the seat totally removed may allow the bottom of the platform to slide forward a little. I can not answer for certain as it was not designed for that application.

Followed OP here from a different thread where he posted a picture thinking the same thing. Planning on removing my rear seats completely in my double cab and would love a premade folding platform. I'd gladly pay $300 for that. Still a great idea, just not what I thought it was. Good job though OP! GLWS

With how popular that option seems to be, one of those might just have to be in the works!!!

If you make one Ill be your first customer! Doing a cross country trip this summer in the hunt for a new home. Never have people in the back seats and would much rather have flat storage to put whatever I need back there. I already removed the rear storage cubbies to make room for custom sub boxes, I literally just need what you are making, but it replaces the seats lol. Its a great looking product though.

IF there were to be a "seat delete" platform created, would you guys prefer it to be similar to Goose Gears platform that extends all the way forward to the back of the front seats and allows for storage underneath the platform(maybe with an additional hinge allowing for a "flap" that can fold up for access to underneath, or would you prefer for the platform to stop short of the seats at the end of the hump where the cubbies are giving open access to the floor?

I'd personally prefer it to end at the storage hump cubbies only because I'm tall and tent to have my seat back all the way. I don't mind having a little bit of floor storage behind the seat but if there's a platform w/flap it may interfere with my seat position.

I think most people that remove the seats would want it to extend to the front seats so they have the large platform for gear

Good thought on the seat being in different positions. I cant remember if the center console extends further than the seat or is the same at seats full extension, or is less. I will look into this more and start designing something up for fab if this will be a popular option.

The goose gear platform allows you to still have the seat all the way back. If you are shorter, you just get a little hole to shove stuff between the platform and seat

Sounds good, seems like it can definitely be done then. I just have not done any design for this type of platform as my intent for these was to have platforms for people that did not want to permanently remove the rear seat. Giving people the option to go from rear seats to platform and back with very minimal effort. Will definitely be looking into designing a seat delete option as it seems that would be a popular option.

Ah gotcha. I like the look of the Goose Gear but oof...that price...At that point I'd probably just make a plywood and carpet platform. I may end up doing that anyways unless OP decides he wants to make one for a seat delete.
