Hey all, this is going to be a very random question, but does anyone know how I can perform a text search on old copies of Playboy magazines? Is there an archive or something?

Basically, I had a professor back in college that was awesome. He did a lot for me. Was my teacher, my academic advisor, and my mentor. Well I found out that earlier in his career in the late 80's or early 90's that he was featured in an old issue of Playboy for having the "coolest class on campus" or something like that. Old copies of Playboy are easy to find on eBay, I'm just not sure which one it is exactly. He has a very uncommon last name, so I figured he would be easy to find in a text search if one exists. I'd really like to buy a copy for him and get it framed as a thank you gift.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Tried that many times. No such luck. If it was in the last decade it probably would have worked, but this is from around 25 years ago.

This might get interesting but you may be able to call the publishing company and see it they have a database or a archive that has the issue and who was featured in it. Maybe a long shot but who knows!
