Playstation 4 vs Xbox One

Am I the only one that still has a 360 launch system?Noisey but it still works.Pre ordered Xbox one because I enjoyed the 360 so much.Will get ps4 later on.

 

I do too, but mine isn't noisy. It doesn't get used as much as it should

 

Played countless hours of cod since part 2,the Halos and Gears of Wars so its pretty used.Also the Batman games are awesome.

 

Performance wise the PS4 (or PS3) have always had the better hardware inside, and yet the PS3 hasn't been put to its max potential. These new generation systems (PS4/X1) are barely catching up graphics wise with what a good pc has been able to do for the last 4 years. While these new systems aquire DX11 (Direct X) graphical capabilities released in 2008 the PC will move first to the DX12 graphics sometime in 2014.

Being a big gamer in general (own all major gaming systems) with a strong computer tech backgraound, I still affirm that a PC is still the best all around gaming and home entertainment solution.

 

for 10x's the price.

 

I'm not saying I'm not getting one of them but PC is where it's at IMO you can build a PC worth playing for $500-700 easy and do more than just gaming on it.

I honestly dont understand why more people are not concerned with xbox1's ability to spy. Its pretty ridiculous that they would design a machine to not work if the kinect is not plugged into it, this is well beyond fishy. In fact, this blatantly screams "WE ARE SPYING ON YOU" MS has also announced the kinect will be coming out for the PC sometime 2014. Dont be surprised if the next windows release wont work without the kinect plugged in

right here haha! i got mine probably a month after they came out. that thing has gone through hell and sounds like a jet engine, but still runs fine and has never gotten the ring. this pig is gonna make it to launch day!

 

Are you saying a good gaming PC is 10x's the price of one of these console systems? That may be true depending on the setup, but the games for the PC are potentially much cheaper than they are for the consoles. My friend is always talking about Steam. I guess Steam has random sales where the games are really cheap.

Sony and MS have strict control over pricing on games. Doesn't matter where you buy them, they are the same price. And of course Gamestop sells those used games for not too much cheaper most of the time (unless it's old or unpopular).

Holy crap! Thats impressive. My cousin went through about 4 xbox's in one year... constant RROD. He constantly played though.

I think this is what I will probably do. Ive got the new game from Bungie, Destiny, on preorder.

 

yeah I don't exactly play all the time but it has RROD'd 3 or 4 times now. Pretty sure it was just the overheat RROD though.
