    Cause when you get bored one day and decide to add weight, bigger tires, or drive uphill in headwind...you’ll thank yourself for having 5.29s.

    I cant tell you what to do, but the amount of people who do 4.88 that wish they did 5.29s is high.

    But still, like you said, one day, things are gonna get heavy. Manual or not, you can't really go lower than 1st gear. I'll bet that OP is gonna regret getting 4.88 gears if they trade it in sooner or later

    Things are already heavy; you can look at my signature but I have full skids, a front bumper with a winch and a steel rear bumper and cap. I do have a M/T and 33" tires. Do not really plan to go bigger than that. I've thought about it and looked through different regear experiences. Seems like 5.29 is probably overkill for me - this is not my first rodeo. Thanks for the input though.
