    If it is just the seal, I’m not sure why they need Toyota to “see it”?
    But I don’t work for Toyota, so maybe is a procedure they have to follow.
    The seal isn’t something particularly hard to replace. A good tech could have it done in 1-1.5 hours if he wanted.

    Yeah agree. Do find it odd it's leaking at 4800 miles

    Me too. In my experience they either leak right away, or they don’t leak for a long, long time.
    Maybe there’s more to the issue? But don’t let it discourage you. I’m sure they’ll get it fixed.
    The worst part is having to smell gear oil every time it rains for a few months. That stuff is hard to get out of concrete.

    Improper install or this isn't the first 2023 that had the same issue.

    Someone drove it in too far. Happens, pour some baking soda on the spot and rinse a few times.
