I'm at Toyota now letting them take a look. I appreciate offer and may be taking you up on it if this mechanic claims he can't replicate noise and dosent hear it if I have to drive with him

So toyota said both front bearings are bad. My left front caliper is locked and my drive belt is cracked. So 500 in parts and a buddy said he'd do for 250$. Hopefully get in done in a couple days just waiting on parts from Toyota to come in. I'll let you guys know what happens

Had both bearings drive belt and left caliper replaced. Noise continues. But not as bad as it was. Bearings being replaced helped with smoothness of ride which seemed to slow tick down alot. With makes me think maybe my old as struts and leaf springs are bad and making tick when suspension bounces. And because bearing are producing smoother ride it's slowing tick alot. Just a thought not sure. Now I'm also getting a grinding noise when turning wheel hard to left and right. About to check caliper gaurd on that one. Man it's never-ending with this shit

Bending caliper gaurd fixed weird noise when turning yayyy. It sounds like tick is something loose that's ticking/clicking when hitting slight bumps. Anyone have to tighten anything to stop weird noises

I know this is late in the game but do you think your speedometer might be making the ticking noise? My 95 started making a tick and it drove me crazy until one day it went crazy and I nearly shit in my pants getting it stopped and out of the truck....

Might be. How would I go about checking to see if it was. I'm about to shitting my pants right now. After bearings rides so smooth. New drive belt fixed a weird squeak I'd get after first start in the morning that lasted 10 sec. Bending caliper guard fixed weird noise when turning. But every time I hear this tick I get obsessed with trying to find. Other than it truck is smooth and quiet when going down road.

The only thing I would know to do is disconnect it then drive it. Not sure if you have a cable. The 95's have a cable off the xmsn and it's a pain in the ass to lubricate.....Maybe a PM to Chris 4x4 would help. He's pretty smart on this stuff and if he doesn't know his two dogs might:D

Check for a small rock or screw head in the tires making a tick when it hits pavement. May seem silly but we gotta try the simple things first. Plus, a rock or screw would make an inconsistent ticking sound like what you are describing. Don't flame, just trying to help.

Thanks I've checked tires and they always have little rocks in them. The grooves on sumitoma all terrains are small grooves. Do you think that could be the culprit.

Took me almost 6+ months or something and found it was centercaps on wheels. Front one broke a tab so it was ticking around. I felt like a idiot when I found it
