I really like the wide stance on some of these lifted trucks i see driving around. I have an 06 tacoma with a leveling kit and 265/70/17 nitto terra trap tires. Does anyone know if I would be able to fit 285/75/17s on there without having them rub? If they won't fit would they be able to fit if i got new wheels? I currently have Ultra +10 offset wheels... whats the lowest offset i could go to? I just have so many questions and every person has a different answer PLEASE HELP!!!

Here is my current set up. Im pointing where the tires rubbed when i put 2 inch wheel spacers on. I realize my truck isn't lifted anywhere near as high as this truck but is it possible for me to get a wide stance like this??[IMG][IMG]

The look you're going for uses a wide rim that stretches out the tire.

You'll also need to lift your truck in order to fit 285s. Even then, they'll still rub in certain circumstances. (I'm assuming you don't OffRoad, but in case you do, you'll need to do trimming in order to fit them.)

I really appreciate your help! if I were to keep the 265/70/17s and just ran a lower offset wheel whats the lowest I could run without rubbing?

I'm not really an expert on backspacing and offsets and all that jazz. I'm sure if you were to call a local tire shop, they'll have answers.

Hmm. Hopefully other more knowledgeable members will step in.

In the meantime, I suggest searching the forum. Probably not the first time this has been asked.

I'd imagine very minimal rub if any on the street and also assume you don't really off road if you are after that look. Cause if you do airing down could be a problem. And you would surely scratch up your wheels.
