    OME 3" Lift
    Hi fellow Taco owners,

    Noobie but long-time TW lurker

I bought my 2007 DCSB 4WD a while back. I bought this truck with a 3" OME lift already installed by the previous owner. I don't know a whole lot about autos but I figured out a have front OME shocks with 885x coils up front and OME N182 nitro sports in the rear.

The leaf springs is where most my questions come in. I believe I have an add-a-leaf insert (Bottom leaf?)
I'm wondering what brand this may be?

and I've tried to research if the shocks are adjustable?
Because I would much rather have a 1.5"-2" lift because I feel like it looks better because I don't want to run 285's and I'm not a hardcore wheeler.

And I have also heard that heavier duty UCA's are needed with a 3" lift and I think mine are still stock. I guess I just want to know if this previous owner knew what he was doing.

I had to install a sway bar relocation kit because of squeaking against the 885x's
Not quite sure if a front differential drop kit was installed

Is there anyway I could drop these to a 2" lift?

Yup, ome shocks and coils, aal, and stock ucas. OME is a solid kit. The shocks are not adjustable though. Your best bet would to have the 885s swapped with 884s. 885s are supposed to give close to 3'' of lift while the 884s are supposed to give closer to 2''.

Stock UCAs are fine as long as it is aligned ok and driving ok. I ran a spacer lift (about 3" lift) on my truck on stock UCAs for a long time and it was fine. The truck did tend to wander a little at highway speeds because of the UCAs though.

Eventually I replaced my UCAs when I started wheeling more.

I realize that, which is why I said close. OP wants 1.5-2" though, which means he needs to ditch the 885s.

If the picture comes back up then I guess we'll see if it's upside down and if it is, it's most likely over 3" of lift.

I have done the hub to fender measurements before and I believe the rear was right at 3" and the front was ~2.75ish with a little taco lean of course

Should be in the 22"+ range. Center of wheel hub to bottom of fender.

I'm certain they are 885x (I found the white sticker wrapped around the coil)
