I just got my tire replaced due to warranting defect , my old set up was cooper 255/85/16 with 3" lift on toyota black rugged trail edition 16x7 wheels, now I'm going to Michelin LTX/AT2 285/75/16 because I want a more quiet tire for the road. now this is the question I went to tire discount and the mount my 285 on my 7 inch wheels and they said that it will fit but they manufacture recommend a 7.5 wheels and I will probable damage the center of my tire they also sell me the road hazard warranty that it will cover the tire in even of any problem. can somebody share their experience and tell me if driving this tires like that I will damaging the tire? I just got station in Florida and Im no going off road any more (there is no place in Florida).did I need to buy new wheels? I love the look of my wheels, please help me
