After a full year of back-and-forth, fighting to get the correct harness, finally getting it in and getting the rest of the truck, sheer perfection to the point that it was ready to cut on just to find out that I had a massive short in the interior harness.
I have done quite literally anything and everything I can do, and I have a pretty decent background in electric component testing. I have sectioned off as much as I possibly can as far as the harnesses go, and I’ve come down to the fact that it has to be between the integration relay and the dash harness I have taken off the rear part of the harness where it connects for all the brake lights and stuff, and I have taken out the interior fuse block, harness completely out of play
Yeah, I still have short to ground on my fuse block for the gauge cluster, and for the ECU ignition. I’m at the point now that I’m gonna have to pull my entire dash out to get anywhere further. My truck was nice and neat and slowly methodically put back together and today it is now a heap of wires with no parts where they were two days ago. I have pulled everything from the seats the carpet the steering wheel, the internal fuse box the external fuse box everything that I can. So it’s telling me that the short to ground is obviously in the harness which I’m OK with at this point, but just where is that so I can repair it God fucking only knows

Welcome! Sounds way over my head but hopefully someone around here can help. You may benefit from posting in the technical chat subforum or the generation based subforum for your year model whatever it is.
