Ok so I have a 2007 Tacoma 4wd TRD offroad And my current setup is a 2" front leveling kit and the back is stock height but I am running fox 2.0's just in the rear front is stock suspension. My current wheel setup is a ion alloy 15" rim with -38mm offset and 2" wheel spacers. Running 31x10.50x15 mud tires although it looks very well it rubs bad due to the offset. 15's don't fit unless you have that amount of offset to clear the calipers. My question is with my current setup of height what size tire could I fit under it if I move up to a 17" rim? I should be able to get a bigger tire on then I have now because I'm not going as much of an offset. Maybe flush with the flare. I plan on doing some minor wheeling with it so I don't think this amount of offset suitable for trails. So what it comes down to is with 2 inch leveler how big of tire can I fit with a 17" wheel? Minor rubbing is not an issue. Massive rubbing not cool

If you want to minimize rubbing while having a larger tire I'd go with 16x8 wheels and 255/85R16 tires.
17" you could do a 17x8 with 255/80R17 tires, just fewer options in this size.

They're narrower to reduce the rubbing, but a 33" OD to improve your ground clearance and obviously a better tire for grip.

If you're open to getting a CMC (cab mount chop) you could go 285/75R16 or 285/70R17, just avoid 17x9" wheels to reduce the rubbing.
