When my car is parked in my driveway, and on. So it's idling in my driveway, if I go to the rear end and put my head under the box I can hear a "whistling-like" noise. Almost like a high pitched whine. It's not obvious, but now that I have somehow managed to hear it once It's really bothering me.

    Any ideas at all?

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you, I just crawled underneath the truck and found that it's coming from the gas tank. So it must be the fuel pump. Is it normal for the fuel pump to make a high pitch noise?

I don't believe the whistling noise is normal. If your truck is still under warranty, I would pay the dealership a visit and see what they say about this matter.

Most of the members are offline at this time, so you might get more helpful advice than what I have to offer hopefully by tomorrow evening.

Oh okay, well thank you for your help. I guess i'll take it in. It's more of a high frequency noise, and it seems odd that something would be wrong with my fuel pump at under 2000 miles.

    But thank you again.
