    Glove box door damper.
It stops the door from slamming open.

I left mine off. You have to remove it to replace the cabin filter.

It's the glove box catch.. goes on the right side of the glove box (door side). Open it and there are a couple of mounting points. This keeps the glove box from falling all the way open. It typically falls off when replacing the cabin filter behind the glove box

It's another item Toyota cheaped out on. The little plastic tabs that it clips onto get soft and no longer hold it in place and it falls off.
