    Years ago when I got mine I passed the written test. Scheduled the driving test with DOT trouper, drove all over the place with him. At the end of the driving test we were on a back street and he asked me to park the truck and then back up like I was backing to a loading dock. Ok I released the brakes and checked my mirrors and backed up about 100’
    Failed, he said I should have gotten out and checked, walked around trailer to make sure all was clear. Reschedule test for next morning, same trouper came out set in the truck with me and we talked and he passed me. We never left the parking lot.
