Wasn’t it found that this warping is mostly due to sun reflection on windows and things?

OP, you should call Toyota Corp and opened a case and perhaps provide them with all this information once you have enough pictures from fellow members as proof. They may issue a TSB or a recall.

Man I have no idea, why else would it just randomly be pried apart like that? Didn't think to consider that it could be a defect.

16 and 17 bezel plastics were made with inferior plastic products. 18 and 19 looks like is better with a different plastic.

This isn't a new issue, either. I had to replace the grill and one of my side mirrors on my 2011

Noticed this last week. My truck is a 2019 Sport with 4500 miles on it. I called the dealer, they asked me to come in, they took pics and will advise. IMG-0979.jpg IMG-0980.jpg

I notice a number of you guys are in TX. That is prob a good place for Toyota to test their plastic formulations in July and August, lol. May I suggest downtown Houston or San Antonio? I am sure those pieces get hot as $hit!

So I think I'm starting to get this grill warping issue. 2018, black sr5. It's very subtle now, 2 upward "dents" on the surround that I didnt notice before. How fast did other people's warpage go from minimal to what they've posted in their pictures and are people still getting heavy pushback from the dealer or fixing under warranty?

IMG_3346.jpg IMG_3346.jpg IMG_3350.jpg IMG_3346.jpg IMG_3350.jpg WOW guys..... I'm having this same issue and Toyota Corp said I would have to take it in for diagnositic fee of 100+ and have it looked it. A guy name Aaron Jones Escalations Supervisor was rude as hell. I'm taking it in next week to the GM of my local Toyota place and hope they will see this thread and can do something.

Who gives a phu@k. We have been building cars for 60 yrs that could withstand a little sun. This is grossly negligent design and purchasing of elephantine proportions. Do not let any corporation, regardless of name externalize their shitty quality to you, the consumer.
