Just received the latest update. I thought I would post it up:

Today is Sunday and it is the Lords day. God has been so kind and loving to our little girl Naomi. Today is the 17th day when Naomi was in a very bad car crash.
We were told that our daughter was not going to live through the night. we asked all to pray for her and I put my baby girl into Gods hands, to do as he felt was best for her, to heal her and return her to us.

On this glorious Sunday God has given us our Naomi back, As of today, Naomi has had all of her chest tubes removed, all stitches have been taken out. she is breathing on her own but is still on the ventilator. She will now start rehab. She still has a ways to go but she will get there.

We want to thank you all for the donations, love and prayers. Naomi will need to have continued support as she heals. I now get to go out and get her a new bed.

Our family cannot begin to tell everyone thank you for all the support.

I will give more updates as Naomi's new life begins.

    Love you Naomi.
    Papa

Thanks for posting that update Bama.

It is truly a miracle how fast and good she is healing! Just Saturday evening they said she would be on her current ventilator for another week or 2. But they tested and tried to get her to breath on her own and the very next day put her on a much smaller, portable ventilator that allows her to breath on her own! This ventilator just gives her a little boost and monitors her. She must do the work on her own. This is a huge milestone!

She looks so good. She pretty much looks like herself again. Most every tube has been taken out of her. All her chest tubes, stomach tube, etc. Just has a feeding tube in her nose and her vent tube in her trachea and IV.

She is very much awake now :). When I first went in to see her Saturday morning, she was real happy we were there. She is still her same little smart aleck self. She has a white board to write on. First thing she writes to me... "You look funny, Ginger". HA! I have some red that grows into my beard, only place on my body, no clue where it comes from... but she always calls me Ginger because of it. So to see her write that, it was so freaking awesome. Brain is for sure good! :)

We all just found out she has some fractured ribs as well. Not sure why the docs just now told us. But first we all heard. No biggy I guess. He knee is healing good, they are putting her in a back brace today or tomorrow. She will be able to sit up after that. They will be doing "boot camp" physical therapy soon, getting her moving. Not sure how long before actual walking.

Most likely by this weekend or next week she will probably get to move out of ICU and into a regular room! I cant wait until she can get the trachea tube out. They want to make sure her lungs are very good before doing that.

But this is just amazing how great she is doing. Thank you all.

    Amazing!!!

Also I think what Bama and his shop are doing is awesome! If I had money to donate, I would. Unfortunately I'm just getting back on my feet after a month of being unemployed.

What I can't give monetarily, I've tried to give through prayers. God is good, and family strength is incredible. Tell her to keep up the great work for us, Ginger ;)
