So sorry to hear about this....tragedies like these make no sense. I can't imagine going through something like this, but as a parent I emphasize with you. I hope and pray your niece will make a full recovery.

Now that parts is rough! My daughter had a broken clavicle when she was 12, and the recovery just on that part was long and hard. Just another rough patch for her road to recovery. Let us hope that she heals quickly.

Thoughts and prayers most definitely with your family and her mostly in these next few days as she wakes up. At least the golden 24 (as we call it in the medical profession) is over, (first 24 hours are the most critical). If I was closer I would offer to help take care of the animals and around the house for you all.

I live with a permanently dislocated clavicle resting against my lung. It wasn't a fun injury and healing took months to be able to fully use my right arm.

I would like to offer to help take care of the animals and around the house for you all. I'm in Bend - PM me to make arrangements.

My wife was driving by directly after the accident happened; couldn't see anything other than the large number of other vehicles/ witnesses/ direct civilian responders at the scene. Our thoughts are with you, your family, your niece and the other children, their families as well. Such a heart-breaking situation.

Thank you for your most generous offer. I have a buddy taking care of the house and animals while we are here. We unfortunately have to come back for work during the week. Luckily she has been stable and moving forward so we are holding our sanity during the week until we can get back up here.

She has been doing real good. They have her so she can be semi awake right now. They dont think she has any brain issues now. Responding to the docs and our voices. Can lift her ledt or right hand fingers on command and other small things so that is huge. Has a bad fever now and some blood clots they are trying to get rid of which is concerning. She fought through the hardest part, i have faith she will fight through these little demons.
