    That is not true they take 2-3 pics. One of the rear with license plates and rear passenger tires pretty much. I work for a dealership so I was shown exactly how it's done…..;)

    Just some FYI. Went to get safety at Hickam Auto Hobby Shop. I had the guy that worked there check my tint before I got the check done. He put a meter on it and said my front widows were too dark. I was upset because it has always passed. So I went to the NEX autport and they put a meter on it and said it was too dark. So I went to T&T and AL's Tinting, they both but their meters and called them good at 35%. So I went to Lex Brodies in Aiea and they put their meter on it and it checked good at 35%.

    TL/DR: Don't go to Hickam Auto Hobby Shop or NEX Autoport for safety, they not reading the window tint correctly.

    Old thread, but my search popped this up as my taco with a big front steel plate bumper is on its way to Kauai right now. Hope it will pass a safety inspection?
