    Hi new remember here!

Want to buy a 2nd G Taco. Just a single house owner. Already have 2 cars... 2G Taco will be for a simple house work. Won't do off-roading. Just need 4x4 for snowzilla. Can my wife drive a Taco in snowstorm? Please, recommend the best years of 2G Taco and what do I have to especially check when buying in a used dealer shop. Thank you.

One of the biggest things you should check is the frame. They have a bad problem with rust that Toyota is recalling. I don't have any experience with 2nd gens very much, but many people in here do and you can find some great information on this site. Happy reading!

Wow, what is it!!! How can I avoid this!!! There are any certain years of Tocoma profoundly having this issue or just randomly happening in any years of Taco? I have seen tons of Tacos on the street, seem like they don't have any issues.... Everyone is emphasizing "awesome reliability and longevity" when talking about "Taco" but this one is a pretty shock to me. Is this another way buy certified-one in an official Toyota dealer shop?

Do you have budget for acquiring the car? What state are you in?

I would, if possible, find something between 2011-2015 in whatever configuration it is you like, and if possible again try finding it in a drier state maybe one that is not salt crazed trying to remedy winter weather roads.

As for your wife driving it in the snow, tough question, and more reliant on your wifes ability or maybe lack there of, it is easier to drive a sedan for many people ya know but here we all well most drive trucks.

I live in MA, tons of snow in the winter. My wife already has a minivan, looking for 4x4 on snowy day only.

Also live in MA. Have had my Tacoma (Access cab, 4WD) for 4 years and it handles pretty well in the snow. TBH, most 4WD/AWD vehicles will handle somewhat similar in the snow. Your biggest factor will be the quality of tire you're using to gain that needed traction and plow thru snow.

A Subaru for the wife a Tacoma for the husband is just about perfect.

Can always add a fun sports car, rwd is much better than people make it out to be in the snow, tires are everything.
