Well unfortunately no immediate miracle and more questions than answers. The doctor was unwilling to do MRI. Baby had sonogram again and babies head was larger by one centimeter. That’s the trouble babies head will be too large at birth. Hydrocephalus was the diagnosis but they said they don’t know today. Something really odd about that... why go to doctor? Oddly enough wife found a similar story about another baby girl named “Parker”. Looking like this miracle will come true by following the path of the previous “Parker”. That’s all I know so far. Please Pray that our path to success will be an easy one to follow. Oh and that it’ll be successful too like the other “Parker’s”. They took baby early and drained the fluid and I guess child is fine now. If baby goes to term its not good. God Bless you all and thanks!

Thanks for the update Brian. I'm going to be Mr. Glass Half Full guy and say this doesn't sound like horrible news from your medical team.

I'm going to pray harder for little Parker and the rest of you!

    A Prayer for Children
God, we pray that through the intercessions of St. Nicholas
you will guide and protect our children.
Keep them safe from all harm and help them grow
to become loving disciples of Jesus in your sight.
Give them strength to always mature into deeper faith in you,
and to keep alive joy in your creation.
Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Well our path is sort of leading in the direction of the other “Parker’s”. My daughter is going to see doctor this Wednesday in KC. We heard OKC was better but are praying that God will guide the Doctor in KC’s hands. She is going up for an MRI and then they are going from there. Not asking for money just Prayers. They are racking up some big bills due to the firstborns issues and now the seconds. I warned them when they got married not to over burden themselves with things. Hard to convince kids of this but in hindsight I’m sure they wish they’d have kept older car and not bought the truck either. Anyway please pray for “Parker”, my daughter because of upcoming cesarean and their finances. The best time to Pray is immediately. Thanks for Prayers and may God Bless your families to be problem free.

Well didn’t get good news today... MRI showed significant damage to brain. After all this for whatever reason they are going to do genetic tests to determine who is at fault. KC didn’t seem to think it was a good idea to take baby early. I have a bad feeling we should’ve followed other “Parker” path to the “T” and done all this in OKC. Anyway still Praying for miracle.. and if we get one believe me you witnessed one. Not gonna lose faith in a loving God! Even if things don’t go well one day I will see “Parker” in Heaven perfect in every way. Hopefully holding an Easy bake oven cookie for her Grand Pa like I had looked forward to up until recently. Fond memories of my daughter and her cookie baking kick ass skills. In all seriousness time here is just temporary the afterlife is forever and potentially flawlessly perfect forever. I’m focusing on that but still hoping for that very real miracle. Don’t give up Praying that is mankind’s first mistake when we hear discouraging news. Thanks and God Bless you all!

This is what my daughter wrote...
    **Update**

We have finally made it home from a very long day at Children’s Mercy.

We spoke with several specialists today that were very knowledgeable and helpful. They confirmed what we already knew to be true about Parker’s brain. Her case of ventriculomegaly is very severe. There is a blockage that is not allowing fluid to drain appropriately. The build up of fluid is adding severe pressure to her brain that most likely will affect normal brain development. This is extremely scary and concerning. However, we did have some positive news. Children’s brains can be quick to recover and the brain develops into adulthood, there is a possibility her brain will develop more after birth. When she is born, further testing will be done and a shunt will most likely be put in.

We know that the damage the excess fluid is causing to her brain can lead to a severe outcome. From being fatal to a poor quality of life. But it could also be developmental delays that we can work through. The specialists we spoke with today seemed hopeful for Parker. They were truly the first taste of positivity and hope that we’ve had through this journey so far.

    Please continue to pray—
-Pray for Parker’s quality of life and brain development
-Pray for strength and comfort for our family
-Pray for wisdom and guidance for the specialists working with Parker

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us so far. We appreciate the support and prayers tremendously.

Praying that The Lord will remove this blockage and will develop “Parker’s” little brain with the time that remains. Not giving up there is still time. Thanks for any and all help with Prayers. God is greater than this problem or any problem. Whatever He does will be His will. God Bless you all and thanks!

    Brian,
Thank you for the update. Please give your daughter a kiss for me and tell her that I said "Thank You". Tell her that every time I look for an appropriate prayer to help bring comfort to your daughter, to you and to your family, I spend some time reading quite a few of them. This in itself is bringing me closer to God thanks to Parker. God bless all of you, and be with you.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)

Dear God, praise You that You will not desert me. You are always with me. At the end of his life, everyone left Paul, but he was not alone. He continued to fight because You were at his side, giving him strength, so the message of Your love and grace continued to be proclaimed. Father, You will never forsake me or leave me. To have You at my side gives me the ability to face whatever comes. Help me to keep my faith in You despite my circumstances, because You are with me.

I just saw your request and will add you and your family but especially Parker to our list. Standing in faith and holding on to the hope that “all things are possible for those who believe” furthermore will pray “that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose...” Lord we lift Parker up and ask for you to work your purpose out in her life.

Still believe this! Meant to get on here earlier and request more Prayers... Jesus will listen and will deliver those prayers to a very loving God and Heavenly Father. Can I get an Amen on that? Anyway my daughter and Son-in-law travel to KC tomorrow. Gonna leave it in Gods hands but hoping whatever they decide will get the best God blessed results! I’m really wanting to have them all freak out and say to my daughter and Son-in-law all is well we must’ve been wrong... A miracle delivered and goose bumps forming on everyone that realizes that!!!! Thanks for all Prayers and may God Bless you all this Thanksgiving season!

Grandsons are fun but I’m looking forward to playing Monster for my Granddaughter too... He had some issues too and was still a miracle but sadly she has other issues.
