Someone will pay that price and claim their truck is better than yours. Seen too many of those people.

Toyota designed a great looking interior layout then decides to put a orange trim on the dashboard for the Fast & Furious crowd..... on a truck

The best day of my life was when I moved out of San Diego. That said there is some good motorcycle riding and 4 wheeling out there. but the State changed too much from 73-92 when I had enough, Plus San Diego was becoming a metropolis. Wasn't that way in the 70s and 80s. Navy and Defense Contractor town. South Carolina beaches remind me of San Diego before it became a big city. Before 15, the road to Escondido was a two lane road.....back in those days

Taxes are extremely low here. $687 a year for property tax. $300 sales tax cap. Every area has its good and bad points though,

$47K is probably for the guy $20K upside down on his trade.....When I see an ad like that I send an Email

    Dear Sirs,
I am extremely interested in your Tacoma. Will you accept $43500K?

Play along for awhile Then drop the hammer

I hear you, I moved out of California in 2001, here in Oregon no sales tax, cost me $75 bucks for 2 years registration, opposed to $500 a year in cali. Property taxes are high tho and now the pot heads can smoke recreational legally.

    Bone Stock.Why mess with perfection?Except...
Bend over, spread cheeks, see where the wild goose goes. The only reason dealerships do this is because their customers allow them to. If you lie in commifornia, it's because, "you like it, you like it"!!!

Theres plenty of other dealers in the bay area to shop at. Antioch is offering cars at MSRP. I bought mine at San Jose and got $1000 over invoice. Just have to find a salesman willing to work with you.

Dublin Toyota (20 minutes from Walnut Creek) tried selling me one for 10k over MSRP as well and I just laughed at them. Had one on order at Sunnyvale (45 minutes away) for 750 over invoice but canceled because Livermore toyota got one in stock and they matched that price. Livermore is 10 minutes from Dublin. The funniest part is that some people actually are buying at those prices.

Toyota swears like their trucks are gold.
But when the demand is high and people are willing to pay that's why they do it.

That's why they do it. Many customers are not smart with their money and are too lazy to drive 45 min to save thousands. It amazes me.

Well everyone; this type of pricing is typical to many Toyota dealerships in the Dallas, Texas area. I had tried to purchase a Rav 4 about 7 years ago at one local dealership, and the website stated MSRP at $22,000 and when I went to the dealership they were asking $27,000. I said that is 5K over the MSRP, and they said if you want one you will pay. I then drove to "4" other dealerships in the Dallas area, and the pricing concept was exactly the same. I bought a Mitsubishi Outlander instead. We moved outside of the city a few years ago and a newer Toyota dealership opened up about 25 miles from me. A friend recommended them, and alas I now am the proud owner of a 2016 TRD OffRoad Tacoma. There are very few if any 2016 Tacomas lingering around the Dallas area. As soon as they come in they are gone. The one I purchased is the 3rd one that was available to me. We were signing the paperwork for the 1st one we looked at, and the salesperson got called away, and when she got back someone was already driving it off the lot. They decided to bring one in from another dealership; we put down a DEPOSIT; we came into town the following day to finish the signing, and it had been sold as well. The next day they again brought in another one from another different dealership 6 hours away. This time the salesperson stayed by the semi truck and waited for us to show up at the dealership before they unloaded it. There were 4 other couples asking to test drive it even though it was still on the truck. The dealership has NOT had any 2014, 2015 or 2016 Tacomas in stock for more than a day or two; as stated by the Financial Manager. I am SO HAPPY to have mine. My wife took the Taco in to get the tinting, nitrogen and wheel locks put on, and she said about 7 or 8 salespeople followed her into the service center to look at it. She said many of them had NOT SEEN a 2016 Tacoma yet, as they have come in and sold almost immediately.
