Plenty of Tacomas available around here

I see threads about people having difficulties finding a Tacoma, but in my area (Ottawa, Canada), dealerships are announcing them on poster boards, radio/tv ads. At my dealership, they have 4-5 new ones on the lot, plus a couple of used ones.

 

Yes, in the Northeast US we are starting to get TV ads, APR incentives and dealer lots getting some stock. Still see the smaller dealers adding adjustments to SR5's to TRD's of $6K. Pro's even more.

 

You sure those aren’t pre sold? 6 just unloaded at my dealer, pre sold.

 

With rates rising and supply slowly catching up its inevitable that there will start to be inventory again.

 

They've been very scarce here in northwest Connecticut. It's been a while since I've seen more than 3 new tacomas in a dealers lot.
I've seen some tacoma ads, but far more chevy Colorado ones pushing their new redesigned 4wd truck. Plus a lot of newer Colorados now seen on the roads here.

 

They could be, but because of the recent ads, I doubt everything is sold (on the radio, they were specifically saying they had Tacomas immediately available).

 

I decided to do a little searching myself out of curiosity, and most of my local dealers here around Cincinnati don't show stock status of vehicles actually on the lot which is common. However, at one larger volume dealer they do break it down to on the lot, in-transit, and build phase. They currently list 14 on the lot, 13 in-transit, and 2 in build phase. Kind of seems hard to believe they 14 new tacoma's on the lot available though. I might have to make the 20 minute drive to check it out.

 

Tacoma inventory is building in the southeast. 4runners since they ship from Japan are still impossible to find. Dealer that I just bought from said that interest rates are killing business. They laughed that it went from not having vehicles to sell to now not being about to sell them. They said the cheaper ones are selling much quicker now than the higher end. I would imagine that the outrageous markups on the Pros will soon end.

 

I saw like 8 or more at my local dealer. Few days later only 2. Probably 6 or so tundras. The dealer had a full sized Chevy and ford up on the corner/elevated display. 4Runners are like non existent

 

These 6 are pre sold. Still a 6 month wait where I live.

 

Just checked the Coggin website. They have 60 new on the lot, 21 of them are Tacomas. Toyotas for Sale Jacksonville FL | Toyota Cars & SUVs in Jacksonville (coggintoyota.com)

 

Yeah that's what I kind of figured with one of my local dealers. They show 14 in stock, but that's the typical dealer bullshit. Keep them on the website so people will inquire, but don't have the product to actually sell. I inquired about a manual OR Barcelona red with the same options as the one I have coming with the addition of the led lights. Nope it's sold, but we can order you one. GTFO!
