Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
"High Centered" is a term that I'm not familiar with. But after a decade of maintaining 3 properties with my '06 TRD OR AC 6M, despite what I had learned, I still got stuck now & then. Every time it was a build-up of freshly piled snow that I thought I could just drive through. Seems the snow between the wheels get pushed ahead, packed a bit, squeezed between the skid plates & the ground. This somewhat packed snow can support enough of the weight of the truck to reduce the load on the tires. Now, there's just not enough tire ground pressure to provide the needed traction. Happens even with extra weight in the bed.
Sucks and it always meant shoveling all of the snow from under the truck. Primarily the snow between the skids and the ground. A real PITA.
Now I use a 54" front-mount blower on a subcompact Kubota. Interchangeable with a 5' snow blade. I pray for a storms dumping 16" or more just so I can show off. Only drawback is that I don't have a cab for it. The Taco was warmer. Had to invest in heated socks & gloves.

That’s what I meant by high centered: snow packed under the truck such that there reduced weight supported by the tires.

I think high centered more typically means unweighted wheels due to ground under the center of the truck, but it’s the same basic idea.

The nice thing about snow is that you shovel it out from under the truck relatively easily. Dirt, mud, rocks, trees, etc. can require different tactics.

All truck, car and van tires come with M+S symbol. Unless we talking about super/sports cars.

That’s the case up here anyway, maybe US is different.

When you plow the loose/light snow the granules rub up against each other causing friction and a rise in temperature/slight melting then you compact it and it refreezes making it more dense heavier and icier.

Not all tires I see online advertise M+S. I’ve also read that M+S has no official standard meaning like the triple peak rating. The tires do have more sipes than the other mud terrains I was looking at, which typically had none. Might just be a gimmick though.
