Hey Peeps has anyone replaced/added an amp that is plug and play to their premium JBL system? I've LITERALLY spent hours online and came up with nothing. Thanks.

Wow I didn’t know it was that much
Maybe contact auto harness warehouse and you can do one of the audio control amps or kicker key. They make lots of different harnesses. I ended up doing a pioneer head unit and a full system sub amps etc. I was back and forth for like a year but ended up going this way and love it

That price was utilizing the existing head unit as well. That is probably what I will end up doing. Although if I could get the sound I want from the factory it would be nice to keep it.

If you change the head unit you won’t miss the factory one. At least I don’t you will. They really need tons of correction( Dsp). The sound now is so much more natural with the aftermarket head unit

Thanks Truck. The touch screen response is super slow on the factory, moreso in cold weather. I probably wouldn't mind a more modern look for the head unit. Toyota is a little behind in the tech of their systems compared to other auto makers. Thanks for that link Lila.

Screenshot_20220216-155705_Yahoo Mail.jpgGonna try this from Crutchfield and see what happens before I dive into a complete system replacement. The guys at Crutchfield are super knowledgeable on the JBL premium pacs in Tacos!

Good idea. See how it comes around and if you feel you want to go further then you can. If it turns out good then you saved a ton of money.
