Just a friendly reminder that if you are interested in these make sure you go to the bundles page and click the green bundle button for which kit you want. It will add those to the cart and apply a discount.

Had a few "a la carte it" and didnt have all the pieces needed. I separated the parts on the site because the 4runner kit will share some parts and the universal parts I didnt want to lock into 1 vehicle or the other.

Anyways... Use the bundles page here. And on the first post... And if you ordered differently, check your email as I have been following up with those that were missing pieces to confirm before I ship on Monday.

When might you have some more DomeRock V4 in stock again? Website says they are sold out.

I still make them but only in the universal option as I am out of stock on the a-pillar t-harness. I ran the stock down on them purposely because there were some guys getting the two mods confused. I'll bump the stock back up to open the ordering soon.

And to perhaps clear some confusion...

The DomeRock is for a + trigger relay setup, while the rock light harness is a - triggered relay. The little relay module that's in the switch harness is to convert the + signal from the ch4x4 switch (which is not setup to switch grounds). If you have an existing setup that is + triggered (that you don't want or know how to convert) then DomeRock will work. If you have a - triggered relay setup then you can get the switch harness, cab light t-harness, and you will need a jst harness to run through the firewall. You can add on the DomeRock Main harness and cut off the small white connector for that.

This topic is really just for those that have existing setups. The full kit is really the way to go if you are starting from scratch, as it is full plug n play.

$250 for harness + 4 cyclones vs $150 for harness without any lights? Cyclones MSRP for $29 so 4 of them is more than $100.

Dsims harness comes with 8 points of contact of lights. I bought 2 sets of 4 lights off Amazon, suggested by Dsim. Each 4 pack of lights were 23.99. They work as intended with the bed light switch.

Okay guys I am back from vacation, and beyond swamped. Lots of emails and orders to get to. Be patient with me I should have my head back above water by next week, taking care of orders er... um... in order. Still plenty in stock for those interested. And thanks @rad_taco for mentioning your install. I was really going for simplicity for this kit, glad to hear it is working as intended.

I am still having some guys having trouble understanding the differences between the DomeRock kit. I honestly think I am going to discontinue that and go with just the full kits to simplify things. But gonna quote my response from before on that topic below. Long story short I have most information readily available here and on the site, so if you have questions please ask here or via email/PM before ordering. It's been a hassle to adjust orders to account for these instances.

Other responses mostly cover it. I have not had my hands on their kit but from what I can see.

    1) Cost by a fair amount.
    2) 8 leads for lights which imo gets way better light spread under the truck.
    3) I sell the harness separately from the lights giving you more freedom to choose the brand/price point you want. The cheap Amazon lights I use are more than sufficient imo and couldn't ever see paying that price myself but to each their own. If you want the cyclones, no problem, they will still work.
    4) For the separate switch in their kit they provide a modified switch and some instructions on where to cut/splice. I use a relay (little black enclosure) to flip the polarity for the switch making it fully plug n play.
    5) I am planning on building off of this in the future (bed lights, scene lights). Trying to be as modular and "add-onable" as possible (if that's a word).

Thanks for everyone's interest! Took quite a bit of work to get these out there.

These are clear facts and an awesome way to distinguish your product, you truly address what I see as the root question of "what is different between these two products" with these statements.

This doesn't feel as fair to me. If you're saying $150 is a fair bit less than $250, you're ignoring 4x $30 cyclones in that equation. If, instead, you mean that $150 + 2x $22 of Yoneda rock lights from Amazon (purchased separately) = $194 + tax so call it $200 and $200 is a fair bit less than $250, you haven't really established any performance metrics to make it a valid and therefore reasonable comparison between 8x Yoneda vs 4-6x KC Cylones.

The rock light showdown offers some such performance characteristics of the cyclones. I think you'd be on firm ground if you had @crashnburn80 test out your recommended Yoneda lights to see how they compare it to the cyclones in intensity, cri, efficiency, etc.

Let's take an extreme case of what if one cyclone puts out 4x the light of each Yoneda, so to be comparable on output your harness would need 16 (or 4x$22) Yonedas. Now you're at roughly $250 and is your product truly a fair bit better on cost? Even worse if your power consumption with 16 Yonedas vastly exceeds the current draw of 4 cyclones so now you have a marginal increase in fuel costs over the lifetime.

More to the point, what if yotamafia decides to offer a cyclone-less option for someone who already has their 4 cyclones? Where would they likely price that? Gotta be sub $200 and likely quite close to $150 I would think given that their 6 cyclone option is +$60 and MSRP of a cyclone is $30.

Now, this isn't some truth in advertising review, I'm not the arbiter of the internet, just one random opinion is all, but I think you've built up a lot of trust with your products and posts and I just would hope you continue to do so in the future.

I do agree that a more even distribution of light under the vehicle makes intuitive sense, especially for stock height suspension. I also agree that putting 8x $30 lights facing the dirt is nuts. For the most part I think your design here is impeccable, though for my own personal taste I'd want sealed connectors instead of spades and if it were me I'd probably try to tap the trailer brake controller for power since you're right there anyway, there's a nice ground in the kick, and you could keep the relay inside the cab and just feed the two output pins through the firewall.

hey buddy I used zip ties get the extra long ones and they work great. Also for the people on the fence this kit is awesome and has much better install method over yota mafia with more connections.
