Thought I would pop in and alert y'all about having campfires. Lanterns and stoves is all now at least on the Plumas except developed CG's. Please check it out online and whatever Forest you plan on recreating on.

Just saw the Humboldt Tiobe Issue the same if not similar restrictions on the FB Eastern Sierra camping page. I’m sure the six rivers, mendo & Shasta T will issue similar orders soon if they already havent

I wonder if all California National Forest will be doing this all at once. Per the regional office I heard.

Tahoe National forest went into effect last Friday, and El Dorado National forest last Thursday.

I'm guessing this is being done not because of high fire danger, but because the closure of developed CG's is forcing more people to disperse camp.

Unfortunate, but I think it's the safe move.

Theyre doing it to protect the wildland firefighters from unnecessary exposure to Covid as a large percentage of wildfires are cause by campfires. Less fires means less exposure risk for WL FF's

Sierra National Forest is no fires as well.

I spent most of last week camping around the Shaver Lake to Kaiser Pass area.

I buried/drowned 3 campfires that were left smoldering that I happened upon.
