Does anyone know if stock TRD OR's are doing okay on the BDR (summertime)? Upgrading to some K02' shortly, but suspension would be stock.

For what it's worth, a buddy of mine did section 3 and 4 including the washout in his stock 05 2wd 6-spd trd offroad with factory locker. The only sort of upgrade was a set of P rated Toyo all terrains that I sold him.

4-5 days to do the whole thing is pretty ambitious. I did half of it in about 4 days, and I felt we were rushing. Lotta driving, not a whole lot of exploring.

I'm thinking about taking a week off with weekends on either end, so 7-8 days. I don't need to do the whole thing, especially my first time through. I'd rather take a little time to enjoy the sites / explore.

Need to figure out which route will be the most advantageous in terms of worthwhile sections. Considering central WA to central OR - though I have not looked into the details at all.

One other thing, section 3 begins in Ellensburg and stops 2/3rds of the way in Wenatchee before continuing back onto the trail. I've done that section twice and I suggest that when you get into Wenatchee just take hwy 97 to Cashmere. That second part of section 3 is boring and half of it is pavement. You'll air back down for no reason.

That's what I would do. I've done basically 1-5 in WA and would like to do oregon next.

I have some camping gear but not much off-roading gear. If you don't mind someone who just wants to explore Oregon and tag along then I'm in. I'm willing to buy some gear that's necessary. Also, I won't be able to do the entire trip so I'll probably have to bail halfway thru.

shoot we'll be in Oregon for the 4th. Would be cool to meet up with you on the way back. GF would have to take the time off but she's never done anything like this.

I think it’s safe to bet that a lot of people joining along the way will have lots of gear - including myself.

I’m not sure how technical any of the sections are, but as it’s summer, I would imagine that recovery might not be too serious a concern. I could be wrong.

Be happy to have ya out either way.

it's forest roads with nice views in my experience. would only get technical if there is a washout or something. Or if you go exploring on side trails maybe.

Count me in for Section 3 and 4 Anytime in that July 3rd-12th window. Can easily meet up if I’ve got your approximate locations.
