I'm down for either prop. Will only be doing half of the trip anyway so I have no preference

Just a headsup - The BDR route schedules are designed for motorcycles. Put Simply - the 2 wheel machines can maintain a MUCH higher average speed even on easy fire roads. I attempted to do the washington BDR with 2 vehicles and 1 motorcycle. The cycle rider was doing a lot of lounging in the sun waiting for the vehicles to catch up. I would suggest doubling the est time shown on the BDR schedule. We even had to start looking at the map for highway sections to make up time.

The umtanuum ridge section south of ellensburg is all baby head sized rocks - very speed-limiting to consumer-grade 4x4s.

    Good luck, guys!

That being said, a bone stock truck or suv can handle the BDR route easily. Most, if not all sections can be done in 2wd.

I’ve still got my vacation on the calendar.

If things don’t clear up by June, this may have to be postponed. Also dependent on state and federal lands being reopened.

@PacNW_Taco is the OP route current? I am trying to see if my girlfriend is interested in going. We may not be able to get as much time off though. Is there ways to join/leave in any of the break points?

Our anniversary is on the 3rd. So trying not to be exclusive there lol. I am thinking we may even just join 9th-12th if it still happens. Do you happen to know timelines for each route or is too indeterminate?

The WABDR crosses and/or uses multiple highways along the way so as long as timing is accurate you should be able to join midway

Would need to coordinate a little more for meet up, cell service is spotty. But plenty of sections that cross main roads. Rt.410, rt.2, I-90, rt.20 just to name a few.
